General Questions
- What is Webosaurs?
- Webosaurs.com is a social gaming platform for children ages 5-12 where 3D avatar customization, in-world exploration, virtual battles and action-packed games are combined to create the ultimate interactive experience.
- What is an avatar?
- An avatar is a graphic representation of your user account. On Webosaurs.com, you can choose what kind of Webosaur you want to be. Each Webosaur type has a different personality. You can customize the look of your Webosaur by adding or removing accessories.
- Can I have more than one avatar?
- You may have more than one avatar, but you can only be logged in with one avatar at a time.
- Can I change my avatar's name?
- No, all name choices on Webosaurs.com are permanent and cannot be changed.
- Can I delete an avatar?
- If you wish to delete your avatar you may do so with the help of your parents. Deleting an avatar removes all information connected to the avatar. You can also create a new account if you wish to play with another avatar.
- How do I handle bad behavior by another player?
- First Ignore the player, then Report the player if the behavior continues. If another player is behaving inappropriately, you should first ignore them by clicking on the player’s avatar and then clicking on the Ignore button on their Player’s Card. You will no longer be able to see their chat or receive Friend Requests from them. You can review your Ignore list by clicking on the My Profile icon on the Webosaurs toolbar. From your Profile page you must go to the My Friends tab and click the Ignore Player List button.For immediate help, find a Moderator by locating the Modosaur with the gold name plate nearest you.To Report a player, click on the player’s avatar and then click the Report button on the Player’s Card. Then select the reason that you are reporting them. Remember to be truthful. If you send in a false report, your account could be suspended.
- What are Bots?
- Bots are Non-Playable Characters (NPCs) placed throughout Webosaurs.com.
- What time is it on Webosaurs Island?
- AAll times in the Webosaurs world are based on Webosaurs Standard Time which is based on Central Standard Time.
- How do I add someone as a Friend?
- Click on their avatar to open their Player’s Card. From there you can send them a Friend Request by clicking on the Add a Friend icon.
- How do I take someone off my Ignore List?
- Click on your My Profile icon on the Webosaurs toolbar then click on the My Friends tab. Once you are able to see your friends click on the Ignore List option and then click on the remove button to remove that player from your Ignore list. You will now be able to go to that Player’s Card and add them to your Friends List. The other player will also be able to now add you as a friend.
- How do I chat?
- There are two ways to chat on Webosaurs.com. Safe Chat uses preset phrases that you will find on the Easy Chat button on the Webosaurs toolbar. Open Chat allows you to type words and phrases that are acceptable in the Webosaurs world. You can type your chat in the space provided at the bottom or your screen. Words not allowed, will not be able to be sent to the screen. Please check with your parents when you set up your account and choose the type of chat that is the best for you. Chat settings can be changed at anytime by accessing the Manage Accounts section of the Parents’ Tools Area.
- How do I move around on Webosaurs Island?
- Click on the place you want to go, and your avatar will go there. Webosaurs can’t walk through rocks and other large items, so you may have to help them find the best route. When you click on an area where your Webosaurs avatar can walk, three red rings will appear on the ground indicating a walk zone.
- Where is my Cave?
- To go to your Cave, click on the My Cave icon on the Webosaurs toolbar at the bottom of your page.
- How do I change servers?
- You choose your server when you first log into Webosaurs. You will remain on that server for the session. If you want to change servers you will need to log out and back in again.
- What is a Friend List?
- A Friend List is a list of the Webosaurs players you have accepted as friends. To build a Friend List, you either invite a player to be a Friend or accept their Friend Request. If two players add each other as friends, the Friend Requests are automatically accepted.
- How do I find my Friend?
- Click on the My Friends icon tab on your Profile Page to see a list of your Friends. If your Friend is signed in to the game, and on the same Server as you are, their location will be displayed next to their name. To go their location, simply click on the GO button next to their name.
- Can I chat with players who aren’t on my Friend List?
- Yes, you can. Remember, all players can see all Chat, unless you have Ignored a player, in which case you will not be able to see their Chat while they are on your Ignore List.
- My friend isn’t on my Friend List anymore! Why not?
- It’s possible that your friend removed you from their Friend List. When someone removes you from their list, they are also removed from yours at the same time. You are allowed to have as many friends as you want on Webosaurs.com. If you have recently Added a Friend, and don’t see them on your Friend List, they might not have accepted your request yet.
- How do I remove someone from my Friend List?
- Click on the My Profile page icon on the Webosaurs toolbar to see your Profile Page then click on the My Friends tab. On the list of your friends, locate the person you wish to remove and select Remove.
- How do I wear things I bought for my avatar?
- Click the My Profile button and select the My Gear tab to choose the type of gear you would like to wear. Select a piece of available armor from your inventory and click Use. Your armor will be applied to your avatar in the image box above your gear. To apply the armor to your in-world avatar you must click Save when you are finished.
- How do I add and remove things in My Cave?
- Click on the My Cave icon on your Webosaurs toolbar. Your cave will appear, then click on the Add/Remove button and your inventory will appear below your Cave. You will now be able to drag and drop the different items in and out of your Cave. You cannot delete items from your Cave inventory, but you can choose which items are used in your Cave at a given time.
- What can I do in My Cave?
- Your Cave is your home on Webosaurs.com. You can customize it with cool items from the stores which include furniture, art, exercise equipment and lights!
- Can everyone come to My Cave?
- Only players on your Friends List can access your Cave.
- Can I trade things to my Friends?
- No.
- How do I buy things?
- Purchasing items for your Cave can only be done in the stores. If you wish to buy extra animations for your avatar you must visit the Dojo in the Sub-Alpine Forest. To buy armor for your avatar you must visit Ole' Smithy's Armory in the Croc Peninsula. The amount of items you can purchase will be limited based on your membership status.
- I can see the items in the stores but can't buy anything!
- Many items can be purchased by all players on Webosaurs.com. However, to have access to all items, you must be a Premium Member.
- How many stores are there?
- There are eight stores on Webosaurs Island. Can you find them all?
- How do you purchase items on Webosaurs.com?
- The currency on Webosaurs.com is the Coin. Coins can be earned in-world by playing games and quizzes and using the micro-transaction system. Coins received through the micro-transaction system are not usable on Members Only items.
- How do I make a Wish List?
- When you click on an item in-world that is for sale, simply select the Wish List button that appears. This will add the item to your Wish List. Only your parents can purchase items on your Wish List. They must use coins purchased through the micro-transaction system to do this.
- What is Armor?
- Armor is the 'clothing' for your Webosaurs avatar. There are six types of armor: leather, wood, bone, steel, molten and gold. When you first create your avatar, you are automatically able to purchase the leather armor. The place to obtain the leather armor is Ole’ Smithy’s Armory in the Croc Peninsula. You must click on Ole' Smithy and he will give you the armor. Once the Armor has been given to you it will appear on your My Profile page under the My Gear tab. The leather armor is the first layer of Armor; the other armor types may only be purchased in sequence.
- How do I get additional Armor?
- As mentioned above all players will receive the Leather Armor set for free. Based on your membership level you can purchase Armor using Coins earned via game play or by purchasing coins via the micro transaction system. Premium members have access to all sets/types of Armor. Paying Non premium members will have access to three of the five sets/types of Armor and free registered players will have access to two set/types of Armor.
- I have the Leather Armor. How do I get the Molten Armor?
- The Armor levels or Armor types must be purchased in sequence: leather, wood, bone, steel, molten and gold. Each level of Armor has six pieces which includes the tunic, upper arm, lower arm, helmet, upper leg and lower leg. As soon as you purchase one piece (such as the helmet) from an Armor level you are then eligible to purchase the same piece of the next level of Armor. You do not have to buy the complete Armor Level before moving on to the next level.
- I'm in a Store but don't see many things to buy

- Where can I see a list of what I bought?
- Click on the My Profile icon on the Webosaurs toolbar. This will open your profile page which will allow you click on the My Gear tab. From the My Gear tab you will be able to view all of the Armor you have purchased. For items purchased to decorate your Cave click on the My Cave button on the Webosaurs tool bar. From your Cave you can view all of the items you have purchased to decorate the Cave.
Games
- What kind of games are there in Webosaurs?
- Webosaurs offers both single player and multi-player games. Some of the multi-player games allow you to invite friends to play with you, while others allow you to join games started by other players. Occasionally, there are All-Play games where everyone in Webosaurs is invited to play a game. When you see the announcement, move fast! Participation is limited, and only the first ones to arrive may play.
- What do I get for playing games?
- In addition to bragging rights and tons of fun, you can earn coins for playing, achieving high scores which are posted on leader boards and other milestones.
- What can I do with the coins I earn playing the games?
- You can purchase customization items for your avatar and cave. You can also purchase extra animations for your avatar.
- What are the stars next to the game names?
- All games in Webosaurs are rated by the level of difficulty. A one-star game will be easier to play, and will reward you less points; a more difficult game will have more stars, and will reward you with more points.
- Where can I see my scores?
- Click on your My Profile icon and you can view all of your game scores on the main profile page.
- How do multi-player games work?
- When you enter a multi-player game you must press the play button to open the multi-player dialogue box that will connect you to other players waiting to play the game. If there are no other players various multi-player games can be played by single players in practice mode.
Technical Questions
- What do I need to play Webosaurs?
- Webosaurs will run on any recent PC (running Microsoft Windows XP/Vista) or MAC (running Mac OS X 10.4 or better) with a recent web browser such as Internet Explorer 7, Mozilla Firefox 3 and Safari 3. You will also need to have Adobe Flash Player 10 in order to explore Webosaurs.com.
- What are the minimum requirements to play Webosaurs?
- Webosaurs will run with a 1.8Ghz Intel Core Duo processor (or similar) and 1 GB of RAM.
- What Flash version do I need to play Webosaurs?
- You will need to have Flash Player version 10.
- What's the minimun connection speed needed to run Webosaurs?
- You will need to have a 512Kbps DSL (or similar) internet connection in order to optimally experience Webosaurs.com.
- What ports does Webosaurs use?
- You will need to have outgoing access on your computer to ports 80 and 9339
Membership and Credit
- How much does Webosaurs.com cost to play?
- Webosaurs is a free-to-play site. As a free registered user you can explore all areas, and play games. There are some features reserved for Premium Members only.
- How do I buy a Membership?
- You can find Membership information by clicking here or on the Membership link on the Webosaurs.com home page. Mom and/or Dad must help you with this process.
- What are the benefits of buying a Membership?

- How do I cancel my Membership?
- Canceling your Membership must be done through your PayPal account if you used PayPal to set up your Membership. If your account was set up through Authorize.net, you may cancel it through the Manage Accounts section of Webosaurs.com. Canceling your child’s account does not automatically cancel the membership.
